I'm not a ringtone addict but I must say that I was quite interested in your propositions. I chose the Glassy tune to replace my previous ringtone ('Demon' by Isolee, a pretty good choice too). Btw, does your track makes reference to Philip Glass ? Do you enjoy his work ?

Since I'm a Plastic Wood lover, I personally see a new ambiant album as good news.

All the best for 2009. Cheers.

Requested by Gus in Japan only 3 years ago. The arrangement of this song drove many musicians a little loopy as it doesn't always do what you'd expect more >
Posted by: gus fielding

Latest Comment: On a warm sunny day....

Today sitting down with the guitar and Lloyd's Folksinger Whelan's disk two coming out the speakers I decided to play along with Don't Look Back. Recording the last full/on version, I had played the original to learn the start of the song only then just played along with rest of the song with the chord sequence as written. Whoops! Today I discovered on playing along with the song after the intro that I was wrong in my sequence, so I recorded a new track, old strings, on my old Yamaha acoustic guitar, probably too much reverb, not much time to play with the mix, but I hopefully got the chord sequence right. Early stages... I spared the vocals thus far, but will probably try to add some for fun. Any feedback from anyone that listens is fine, just please keep them constructive comments; I do this for fun, and it may hurt if points are not validated.
Listen here if curious:

We golfers of Northern California would like to let you know that your perspective on Pebble Beach is right on target. It's obviously the "big gun" of the west coast, but sadly it's the third best course you can play in the Pebble area.

Next time you're in the Monterey area, I highly recommend playing Spyglass Hill and/or Poppy Hills. Both are better courses than Pebble from tee to green, and much less expensive if you're trying to conserve some dough. Consider a "Duke's Card" to save money at Spyglass Hill, and find a Northern California Golf Assn member to get you in to Poppy Hills.

It's true that nothing can touch the ocean holes at Pebble, but the inland holes are ho-hum...and at $500 a round, ho-hum should not be an option.

Posted by: pdayton - 13/12/2008

While not many on this side of the pond have noticed, Lloyd Cole, that smart, blackly humorous self-deprecating Scottish songwriter has been assembling a nice catalog, chock-full of fine recordings. Why bang on about shipment arriving? but I'm too impressed not to comment. I saw the 2001 collected set; and as I already had the albums except for the live bootlegs included, I had put off buying it. Glad someone suggested buying it on the Fly-Ins site. It is a great package, tasteful artwork and a great included book. With Hosuk Lee Makiyama working on the new artwork for the Ashtrays release it is in safe hands. I urge any fan to buy this package whilst available through the shop. Thanks also for the personalised comment on the sleeve...my lips are sealed ; ) Very happy indeed.....

Posted by: Sigggy Fly-Ins - 10/12/2008
